Privacy Policy

At Almuqri Online Qur'an & Islamic Learning Institution ("Almuqri", "we", "us", or "our"), we protect the privacy of students, parents, and faculty. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone, country, timezone, and the role you register as (student, parent, teacher, or staff).
  • Child / student records: age or date of birth where provided, academic level, attendance, homework, progress notes, and assigned teachers. Parents create and manage child accounts.
  • Classroom data: live-class join times, attendance ticks, homework text or audio submissions, and messages sent through Secure Inbox.
  • AI Hifz Lab data: recitation audio processed for feedback, transcripts, and scores. These are used to coach the student and to improve the lab.
  • Payment records: plan, amount, currency, gateway reference, and subscription status. Card numbers are handled by Paystack or Flutterwave — we do not store full card details.
  • Technical data: browser type, device, IP address used for security, and optional analytics if you accept cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To run the Almuqri Virtual Classroom, match students with instructors, and keep your timetable.
  • To show parents progress, attendance, and teacher notes for their children.
  • To process tuition, scholarships, and billing notices.
  • To send transactional email (login, class reminders, receipts) via Resend.
  • To keep the academy secure (abuse reports, login protection, and Turnstile bot checks on signup).

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. They are required for the portal to work. If you accept optional analytics, we load Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel (Facebook) so we can see which public pages help families find Almuqri. You can decline analytics; the site still works. Change your choice anytime by clearing site data for almuqri.com and reloading.

4. Children

Almuqri teaches children under a parent or guardian account. A parent must create the child profile and manage billing. We do not use a child's data for marketing. Parents may request correction or deletion of a child's record through the Parent Portal or by emailing us.

5. Data Retention & Security

Recitation recordings used for AI coaching are kept for at most one week for review, then deleted or kept only for the student's own archive. Academic records stay while the account is active. We store files on Cloudflare R2 and application data on Supabase, with access limited by role and row-level security.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: accounts, database, and realtime messaging.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, CDN, Turnstile, R2 file storage, and Workers AI used by the Hifz Lab and in-site tutor.
  • Almuqri Virtual Classroom: encrypted live video for classes, opened from the portal.
  • Paystack and Flutterwave: card and local-currency payments.
  • Resend: transactional email.
  • Google Analytics: optional page-view measurement, only after you accept cookies.
  • Meta Pixel: optional advertising analytics, only after you accept cookies.

7. Your Rights
